Monserrate Room - named in honour of Monserrate Palace - This XIX century Palace was commissioned by Visconde de Monserrate, Sir Francis Cook and projected by the famous architect James Knowles Jr. The palace can be distinguished by the mix of Romantic and Oriental styles, clearly expressed by its exotic decoration elements, its domes and the great round Tower. Nowadays, besides the marvelous architecture it is well known for its spectacular gardens

Pena Rooms - named in honour of Pena Palace - An outstanding example of the romantic style of the XIX century in Portugal, the Palácio de Pena was built on the orders of D. Fernando Saxe Coburgo-Gotha, consort to the Queen D. Maria II, over the ruins of an old convent. The summer residence of the royal family, it is a national monument since 1902. Its architectural beauty, its interiors and gardens make this palace an icon of Sintra and its National Park.

Queluz Room - named in honour of National Palace of Queluz - Classified as a national monument in 1910, this Palace was built in "Quinta de Queluz" part of the "Casa do Infantado", which was an institution created after 1640 to provide revenue to the sons and daughters of the King. The old 16th century hunting lodge was rebuilt by the french architect Jean-Batiste Robillion and Mateus Vicente after the great earthquake of 1755. They were responsible for the decoration of the beautiful interiors: the gardens were inspired by the french geometric style of the times and adorned with various statues, balustrades, lakes and glazed tiles. This Palace was the official royal residence during the reign of Queen D. Maria (1734 - 1816)

Regaleira Room - named in honour of Regaleira Palace - Known as one of the most symbolic places of Freemasonry in Portugal, we know that this house was commissioned in the middle of the XIX century by the Baronesa da Regaleira and that its origins go back to the end of the XVII century. The different scenarios of this property were designed and built in accordance with the symbols of the esoteric and the unique universe. The signs of the alchemy are present in every detail of this unique place showing the presence of the equivalences and analogies between the Microcosm (Mankind) and the Macrocosm (Universe).

Sintra Room - named in honour of National Palace of Sintra - The Palace of Sintra is the last survivor of the medieval royal palaces in Portugal. It was probably built over the dwellings of the ancient Moorish "walls" and it was the King's Palace since the beginning of the Portuguese Monarchy. King D. João (14th/15th centuries) and D. Manuel I (15th/16th centuries) are responsible for the most significant works in the Palace. The variety of rooms and halls is remarkable; the Coat of Arms room is a breathtaking example, not to be missed

Capuchos Room - named in honour of Monastery dos Capuchos - This little monastery, constructed amid the rocks of Sintra in fulfilment of a vow by Dom Álvaro de Castro (1560), its cells and dependencies lined with cork, is a wonderful example of Christian austerity in its simplicity of decoration and meagre materials and space.
