HONEYMOON PACKAGE 1 NIGHT
Located in the "Alfama", on the eastern side of the hillside of Lisbon's St George's Castle, the present Palácio building dates back to 1449. However, the property incorporates part of the oldest city walls, built in the third century BC. The Alfama is the oldest quarter and original nucleus of Lisbon, representing the historical and cultural heart of the city. Portuguese kings resided in the citadel until D. Manuel I; Vasco da Gama was received there upon his triumphant return from India; Gil Vicente presented his first theatrical work here and it was also here, in the Albarra Tower, that Fernão Lopes wrote his famous chronicles in the 15th century. |
